I have been loving blood oranges lately. Not only are they beautiful to look at, but the flavor is so lovely and much stronger than a regular orange. Those of you who follow me on Instagram will know that we made juice with regular and blood oranges last week, and the color of the juice was even more gorgeous than the orange itself.
So, a lightbulb went off! Who doesn’t love a good mimosa for a special breakfast treat? What better way to get a natural, ruby red color for Valentine’s Day in your drink?! Whether you’re having people over for brunch, or having a special breakfast in bed, this drink is a stunner!
Blood Orange Mimosas
What You’ll Need:
+ About 1 orange per drink
+ a bottle of champagne
Juice the orange and pour it in a champagne flute. Fill the rest of the glass with chilled champagne, and enjoy! So simple to get a gorgeous Valentines Day drink!
P.S. If you want to make it non alcoholic, replace the champagne with some ginger ale!
