Today I have for you the best savory holiday popcorn recipe, EVER! I mean it…this stuff is like crack (in a good way), and it’s pretty good for you, too! Combining lots of seasonal flavors and textures is what makes this popcorn so delicious. Chewy, sweet dried cranberries, crunchy pecans, buttery, fried sage, all among some classic, fluffy popcorn. It’s a perfect snack to put out on the table at a holiday party, or just in a bowl on your lap watching Christmas movies.
I can’t get enough of it, and I bet you won’t either, so be sure to make extra! 😉
+ 5 cups of popped popcorn
+ 1 cup pecans, chopped
+ 1 cup dried cranberries, chopped
+ bunch sage leaves, chopped
+ 3 Tablespoons butter
+ 2 Tablespoons confectioner’s sugar (optional)
+ salt and pepper
Combine the popcorn, pecans and cranberries in a large bowl. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium high heat. Once bubbly, add the sage leaves and fry for 1 minute. Pour all over the popcorn. Add the confectioners sugar for a kettle corn flavor, and salt and pepper. Serve!
