I have been loving blood oranges lately. Not only are they beautiful to look at, but the flavor is so lovely and much stronger than a regular orange. It’s less acidic, and has a hint of a berry flavor to it. Not to mention the fact that they have 40% more vitamin c than a regular orange. Enjoy a cocktail AND protect your health? Sounds darn good to me!
Those of you who follow me on Instagram will know that we made juice with regular and blood oranges last week, and the color of the juice was even more gorgeous than the orange itself.
So, a lightbulb went off! Who doesn’t love a good mimosa for a special breakfast treat? What better way to get a natural, ruby red color for Valentine’s Day in your drink?! Whether you’re having people over for brunch, or having a special breakfast in bed, this drink is a stunner!

Now Proudly Introducing: Nutritional Information for all of my recipes, as well as Printable Recipe Cards!
I’m always talking about why cooking from scratch is healthier, better, etc, but I wanted to be able to SHOW you, and also let you be able to see what the stats are for each recipe. Often times when I cook for my family and they’re watching their weight, they’ll ask me for an estimated calorie count, and I know how important that is to a lot of people. I’ve also had a lot of feedback from readers and family that have helped me create this new function, so thank you all!
