Rice Krispie Hearts

I don’t know about you guys, but rice krispie treats are probably one of my favorite quick desserts. So nostalgic, quick and easy. Not to mention the crispy, crunchy, melty, gooeyness that makes me want to run in the kitchen and make another quick batch right now just thinking about it.

The Thrilling New Treat!

Of course, like every other classic American kid, my Niece is in love with these tasty little morsels. So when she came to visit last weekend, we made some Valentine’s Day inspired ones. They’re super simple, and very impressive. Great for gifts, parties, and of course, snacking at home!

For each color, I melted 2 tablespoons of butter with a few drops of food coloring. Mix in 1 cup of mini marshmallows until melted. Then 1 cup Rice Krispies. Pack the mixture into a greased heart cookie cutter on waxed paper and slowly pull the cutter away. Mine made two hearts per color batch. That’s all, folks! Fun project for the kiddos! Enjoy! 💕
